Setting up SSO
Introduction
This technical documentation provides step-by-step instructions for setting up enterprise identity providers in the Walr Platform. By integrating an identity provider, you can enable users to authenticate and access the Walr platform with Single-Sign-On using your existing enterprise credentials.
Prerequisites
Access to your enterprise identity provider configuration (e.g., SAML metadata or Azure Active Directory details).
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Accounts created within the Walr Platform without Single-Sign-On authentication will have MFA enabled through the Walr Platform authentication system.
Accounts created within the Walr Platform with Single-Sign-On authentication use your enterprise identity providers MFA solution. In this case, responsibility to enable and secure your SSO account with MFA lies with your IT department.
SAML metadata
Provide Walr support (support@walr.com) with the following:
- Your domain name, that will be mapped with SSO.
- X.509 Signing Certificate from your SAML IdP (in PEM or CER format).
- Sign In URL – SAML single login URL.
- Sign Out URL (optional) – SAML single logout URL.
- User ID Attribute (optional) – Attribute in the SAML token that will be mapped to the user ID in Walr platform.
Walr Support will walk through the process with you.
